Privacy Policy

Amigos AI Inc, a Delaware corporation (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operates the VoicePod mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.

1. Our Core Commitment: On-Device Processing

VoicePod is designed from the ground up for privacy. All text-to-speech synthesis and voice cloning runs entirely on your device. No audio recordings, voice profiles, text content, or generated speech is ever transmitted to our servers or any third party. We do not operate servers that receive, store, or process your content.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• Voice recordings or voice profiles
• Text, PDFs, EPUBs, or any content you import or paste
• Generated audio output
• Biometric data (voiceprints are created and stored only on your device)
• Personal information, names, email addresses, or account credentials
• Location data

VoicePod does not require an account or sign-up. We have no mechanism to identify individual users.

3. Subscription & Payment Data

If you purchase a VoicePod Pro subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat, Inc. as a subscription management platform. RevenueCat receives anonymized transaction data from Apple (such as subscription status and a random subscriber identifier) to manage entitlements. We do not receive your name, payment method, or billing address.

4. Anonymous Usage Analytics

VoicePod uses Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous usage data that helps us improve the App. This data includes:

• Feature usage events (e.g., which input modes are used, voice selections)
• App performance data (generation success/failure rates)
• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• Country derived from IP address (IP addresses are not stored)

This data is anonymous — it is not linked to your identity, and no personal identifiers (name, email, account) are collected. For details, see Firebase Privacy.

5. Free Book Library

VoicePod includes a free book library featuring public domain works. When you browse the library, book data is loaded from a catalog bundled within the App (no network request). When you download a book or view a cover image, the App makes network requests to third-party servers (such as Project Gutenberg) to retrieve the content.

These requests transmit your device’s IP address to those servers. No account information or personal data is sent. The book content is public domain and is not controlled, owned, or modified by VoicePod.

6. Voice Data & Biometric Information

When you use the voice cloning feature, VoicePod processes your audio recording to create a voice profile (a mathematical representation of vocal characteristics). This voice profile:

• Is created and stored only on your device
• Is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or any third party
• Can be deleted at any time from within the App (Settings → My Clones → swipe to delete)
• Is removed entirely when you delete the App

We do not collect, receive, store, or have access to any biometric data, voiceprints, or audio recordings.

7. On-Device Data Storage

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

• Voice profiles you create (in the App’s sandboxed Documents directory)
• Generated audio files and playback sessions
• Imported documents (PDFs, EPUBs)
• App preferences (selected voice, playback speed)

All locally stored data is deleted when you uninstall the App. You can also delete individual voice profiles and playback sessions from within the App at any time.

8. Children’s Privacy

The voice cloning features of VoicePod are intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 18, you may use the text-to-speech features with default voices under parental supervision, but you should not use the voice cloning feature.

9. Third-Party Services

VoicePod integrates the following third-party services:

• Firebase Analytics (Google) — anonymous usage analytics as described in Section 4.
• RevenueCat — subscription management as described in Section 3.
• Project Gutenberg — public domain book content and cover images as described in Section 5.

VoicePod does not integrate any advertising or cross-app tracking services.

10. Data Security

Core text-to-speech and voice cloning processing occurs entirely on your device. Anonymous usage analytics and book downloads involve network requests as described above. Your on-device data is protected by your device’s built-in security features including device passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, and iOS sandboxing.

11. Your Rights

You have full control over all data stored on your device and can delete it at any time. Since analytics data is anonymous and not linked to your identity, we cannot access, correct, or delete analytics data for a specific individual.

12. California Privacy Rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale. VoicePod collects only anonymous usage analytics (not linked to identity) and anonymized subscription data through RevenueCat. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

13. International Users

If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that anonymous analytics data is processed by Google (Firebase) and subscription data by RevenueCat on servers located in the United States. This data is anonymous and not linked to your identity. We respect your privacy rights under applicable local laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

14. Do Not Track

VoicePod does not track users across websites or apps. Our analytics are limited to anonymous in-app usage events.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
